THERAPY FOR

Depression

IN ONTARIO AND BRITISH COLUMBIA

Depression rarely shows up the way people expect. It doesn’t always look like sadness. For many it looks like exhaustion. Numbness. A running commentary in your head that never lets up. A body that's tired no matter how much you sleep.

For a lot of the people I work with, depression is what happens when you've spent years managing everyone else's needs, staying two steps ahead of conflict, or holding it together so no one has to worry about you.

Maybe your mind became your safest place — which means you're probably very good at understanding your struggles and not very practiced at feeling them. We'll work with both. Insight matters, but so does what's happening in your body, your breath, your nervous system, in real time. Using somatic and mindfulness-based tools alongside relational work, we slow things down enough for you to actually feel what's underneath the anxious spiral or the flat, heavy days — grief, fear, anger, longing — instead of just managing it from the neck up.

You don't have to earn your way out of this by thinking harder. Sometimes the way through is quieter than that.

Hi! I’m Lily and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) supporting adults in Ontario and British Columbia through virtual, relational psychotherapy and counselling.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and have completed trainings in attachment theory, emotionally-focused therapy, somatic therapy, mindfulness, and more.

Depression can feel heavy, and therapy can help bring some much needed lightness. I’d love to show you how.
